On Android: Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then let go. Swipe up on the app.
On iPhone X and Later: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the app launcher. Swipe up on the app to close it.
On iPhone SE, iPhone 8 and Earlier: Press the Home button twice to open the App Switcher. Swipe up on the app to close it.
